La moda digital y los avatares virtuales: Un nuevo mundo para el diseño de modas

El objetivo de este artículo fue analizar la contribución de una propuesta formativa basada en moda digital, avatares virtuales y realidad aumentada aplicada al desarrollo de destrezas de diseño de modas en participantes vinculados a procesos creativos, técnicos y proyectuales. La investigación se planteó como un estudio cuasi experimental, de enfoque correlacional descriptivo, con grupo de control y grupo experimental, integrado por 40 participantes entrenados en cuatro centros de formación. Se elaboró un test de base estructurada para medir conceptualización digital, modelado tridimensional, patronaje virtual, integración estética, narrativa de identidad, usabilidad y sostenibilidad creativa. El instrumento fue validado por expertos y obtuvo una confiabilidad Alfa de Cronbach de 0.98, considerada muy alta. Se calcularon estadísticos descriptivos, correlación de Pearson, prueba t de Student para muestras independientes y tamaño del efecto mediante d de Cohen. Los resultados referenciales evidenciaron mayores ganancias en el grupo experimental, especialmente en modelado 3D, integración de avatar, visualización inmersiva y comunicación de colecciones digitales. La t de Student mostró diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre grupos en el postest, mientras que la d de Cohen indicó efectos altos en las destrezas centrales. Se concluye que la incorporación pedagógica de avatares virtuales permite ampliar el campo del diseño de modas hacia escenarios híbridos, más sostenibles y centrados en la identidad digital, siempre que la innovación tecnológica se acompañe de criterio estético, ética de datos y alfabetización visual.
