Ciencias Naturales y realidad aumentada: potenciando el estudio de los ecosistemas en la educación básica

El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el impacto de la realidad aumentada (RA) en el desarrollo de destrezas cognitivas, específicamente en el pensamiento crítico, la creatividad y la resolución de problemas, en estudiantes de educación secundaria. Para ello, se utilizó un diseño cuasi-experimental con un enfoque correlacional descriptivo, con la participación de 80 estudiantes distribuidos en un grupo experimental y un grupo control. El grupo experimental fue expuesto a la intervención educativa con RA, mientras que el grupo control recibió enseñanza tradicional. Se aplicó un test structurado validado por expertos para medir las destrezas cognitivas, y los resultados mostraron mejoras significativas en las habilidades cognitivas del grupo experimental, con una diferencia considerable en la media post-intervención. Además, se calcularon las correlaciones de Pearson, la t de Student y el tamaño del efecto mediante el índice d de Cohen, lo que permitió confirmar que la intervención con RA tuvo un impacto positivo y significativo. Los valores p fueron inferiores a 0.05, indicando diferencias estadísticas relevantes. En conclusión, la RA ha demostrado ser una herramienta eficaz en la mejora del rendimiento académico y el desarrollo de habilidades cognitivas esenciales, lo que sugiere su integración en los programas educativos como una estrategia pedagógica innovadora
