Control y prevención de enfermedades zoonóticas: nuevas estrategias para la salud pública veterinaria

El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar el efecto de una estrategia integrada de control y prevención de enfermedades zoonóticas, basada en el enfoque Una Salud y apoyada por el módulo de realidad aumentada EcoVet-RA, sobre el fortalecimiento de prácticas preventivas en salud pública veterinaria. La metodología correspondió a un estudio cuasi experimental, descriptivo-correlacional, con dos grupos: un grupo de control y un grupo experimental, conformados por 140 animales bajo seguimiento sanitario comunitario. Se aplicó una ficha estructurada de evaluación epidemiológica para medir indicadores de vigilancia, bioseguridad, vacunación, trazabilidad y notificación temprana; el instrumento fue validado por juicio de expertos y obtuvo un alfa de Cronbach de 0.89, considerado muy confiable. Los resultados mostraron mejoras superiores en el grupo experimental, especialmente en identificación temprana de signos clínicos, cumplimiento de vacunación, aplicación de barreras de bioseguridad y reporte oportuno de eventos compatibles con zoonosis. La prueba t de Student evidenció diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre grupos después de la intervención (p < 0.001), mientras que la d de Cohen indicó un efecto grande en la mayoría de dimensiones evaluadas. La correlación de Pearson reveló asociaciones positivas entre exposición a EcoVet-RA y desempeño preventivo. Se concluye que las estrategias integradas, intersectoriales y tecnológicamente mediadas pueden mejorar la prevención zoonótica al articular vigilancia animal, educación sanitaria, respuesta comunitaria y gestión del riesgo. Este borrador utiliza resultados simulados con fines académicos y debe ser validado con datos reales antes de su publicación científica.
