Aplicación de la química verde en la enseñanza secundaria para desarrollar conciencia ambiental

El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la influencia de una propuesta didáctica basada en química verde en el desarrollo de la conciencia ambiental de estudiantes de enseñanza secundaria. La metodología respondió a un diseño cuasi experimental, de enfoque cuantitativo, correlacional y descriptivo, con dos grupos: control y experimental. Participaron 40 estudiantes distribuidos en cuatro centros educativos, a quienes se aplicó un test de base estructurada antes y después de la intervención. El instrumento fue validado por juicio de expertos y alcanzó un alfa de Cronbach de 0,88, valor considerado muy confiable para interpretar la consistencia interna de las mediciones. La propuesta, denominada QuimVerde-AR, integró actividades de indagación, análisis de residuos, sustitución de materiales peligrosos, prevención de contaminación y toma de decisiones ambientales contextualizadas. Los resultados evidenciaron que el grupo experimental obtuvo mayor incremento en conocimiento de principios de química verde, prevención de riesgos, argumentación socioambiental y compromiso con prácticas sostenibles. La prueba t de Student mostró diferencias significativas entre grupos en el postest, mientras que la d de Cohen indicó un efecto alto de la intervención. Asimismo, la correlación de Pearson mostró asociación positiva entre la participación en actividades verdes y la conciencia ambiental final. Se concluye que la química verde, cuando se enseña mediante experiencias activas y contextualizadas, fortalece destrezas científicas, pensamiento crítico y responsabilidad ambiental en secundaria.
